One of the most frequent complaints about Medicare is that it doesn’t provide seniors with dental benefits. As a result, older Americans living on modest pensions or social security don’t get the kind of dental care they need because a trip to the dentist is just too expensive. It’s a decades-old problem that looks set to change as the new health care exchanges created by the Affordable Care Act(ACA) start to gain momentum.
Under the new law, elderly Americans are allowed to purchase dental coverage though the exchanges, even if they are Medicare recipients.
